Recognizing that our schools may need changes to accommodate new models of learning, serve the needs of an influx of new families to the area, and ensure that our schools adhere to the latest safety standards, the Morgan Hill Unified School District started a Facilities Master Plan process in the Spring of 2017. The process included months of input from parents, teachers, staff and community members and culminated on September 6, 2017 when the Board approved the Facilities Master Plan.
The purpose of the Facilities Master Plan is to define the long-range goals for facility planning that support the educational goals of the District; this ultimately aids in decision making so that school facility improvement move toward a common coordinated vision. In 2020 the cost estimates for the Facilities Master Plan were updated.
Through a two-part workshop, Staff will lead the Board through an overview of past and present facilities projects and facilitate the identification and prioritization of future projects. Study session #1 will focus background information on previously completed projects, project status updates for projects currently under construction, and provide a five-year projection of revenue streams available for facilities projects. Study session #2 will focus on future project identification, prioritization, timeline and budget. |

The next REGULAR meeting of the Board of Education is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2020, with Open Session beginning at 6:00pm. The agenda will be available on the District's website by 5:00pm Friday, October 30, 2020.
