A. CALL TO ORDER

D. ADOPTION OF AGENDA
Rationale:
The Board of Education will interview three candidates to fill a vacancy left by the resignation of Teresa Murillo in Trustee Area 7.  At this time, any Board Member(s) who wish to recuse themselves or make any disclosures will do so.  The Board President will draw names to determine the order of interviews first, second and third.  After public comments / communications, the Board will begin interviews with the first candidate.

Order of the interview will be conducted as follows:

  • Opening statement 
  • 5 questions 
  • Candidate question / answer time 

Once all candidates have completed their interviews, the Board will immediately vote by ballot.  If the vote results in one candidate receiving the majority of at least four votes, that candidate will be appointed.   If no candidates receive a majority of at least 4 votes, a second vote will be taken. If the vote results in eliminating one candidate and the there is no tie for the top two candidates, the Board will immediately conduct a re-vote of the top two candidates without discussion.   If at any time the vote results in a tie, then Board will discuss the positive aspects of the remaining candidates and a re-vote will be taken.

F.1. Interview Trustee Area 7 Candidates and possible appointment of new Trustee
Rationale:
The Board of Education will interview three candidates to fill the February 1, 2019 vacancy left by the resignation of Teresa Murillo in Trustee Area 7.
 
G. ADJOURNMENT
Rationale:
The next REGULAR meeting of the Board of Education is scheduled for Tuesday, XXX, 2015, with Open Session beginning at 6:00pm.  The agenda will be available on the District's website by 5:00pm Friday, XXX, 2015.
